In celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, you're invited to attend a unique 13-hour global conversation with CGIAR women scientists that are leading change and creating solutions to some of the world's biggest challenges.
Powered by Women in Research and Science (WIRES), a new employee-led resource group (ERG) at CGIAR, supported by the GDI Function, the event will showcase the many ways women scientists are transforming the way we look at our food, land and water systems around the world. In addition to learning about cutting-edge science, you'll be able to engage directly with inspiring speakers in 13 different countries.
Join us on Thursday, 11 February 2021 between 8:00 – 20:00 UTC +1 to celebrate bold women-led science that is breaking down boundaries and leading change. Drop in at any time to learn how teams in the Philippines are mapping rice from space, stay to uncover the mysteries of plant science from research in Nigeria, and pick up the conversation again later to hear about the journey of women scientists in Peru and Mexico. These are only a sample of the exciting sessions that will take place on the day.
