JOB DESCRIPTION:
AWARD seeks to recruit a Communications Assistant to support its communications team in facilitating external and internal communication. The communications assistant will be heavily engaged in day-to-day communications activities including writing, designing of information products, managing social media platforms. The incumbent will assist the communications manager in implementing the AWARD communication and knowledge management strategy
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist the AWARD Communications team with research and documenting stories on AWARD’s four initiatives and activities.
- Provide audio-visual support during AWARD events or when called upon. Furthermore, work with contracted videography teams to produce videos and when necessary, animations, or photographic images.
- Manage the media database and AWARD photo gallery.
- Assist in the content management of the AWARD website.
- Assist with AWARD social media engagement on the various platforms.
- Assist in compiling and material for electronic newsletter.
- Coordinating media relations with the Communications Manager.
- Support the AWARD team in ensuring that the program’s brand and style guidelines are adhered to.
- Support the AWARD team with communication during program events.
- Oversee the ‘stock’ management of the programs branding material.
- Working in collaboration with AWARD’s communications team, the individual will be responsible for making first level decisions on the production of communication content for the program.
- Production of a high-level of documentation that portrays the AWARD brand in positive light and in line with the programs style and brand guidelines.
