CARE’s work in the agriculture sector aims to challenge the discriminatory gender and social norms that undermine agricultural productivity and food security in smallholder agriculture systems. However, monitoring behavior changes related to gender remains a complex, nuanced, and challenging endeavor.
In this knowledge-sharing event, CARE will present several tools and processes that we have developed for measuring, monitoring, and encouraging processes of change among key intervention partners. These tools will include a set of graduated, context-specific gender indicators for men and women in 5 countries (Malawi, Mali, Ghana, Tanzania, India).
Following presentations of these tools in the morning, there will be small-group discussions for engagement with program implementers, hands-on demonstration of the tools, and to discuss potential applicability to other FFP programs.
To register: RSVP to Hannah Cox, at hcox@care.org. Spaces for in-person attendance are limited but the morning session will be accessible via webinar, from 9:30-11:30 am.
