March 9: Agnes Quisumbing (PHN) will speak at a UN panel on “Gender equality and poverty eradication: good practices and lessons learned” during a session on “Implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regards to gender equality and empowerment of women.” New York, New York.
March 11: Regina Birner (DSG) will chair a session on “Gender Equality in access to Rural Service Delivery: Governance at the local level : Reflections from India Ghana and Ethiopia” at a World Bank and UNIFEM session on Gender Equality and Good Governance Forum: Improving Services for Women. March 28-30: Ruth Meinzen-Dick (EPT) will present at the Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development Conference (GCARD) on “Engendering Agricultural Research.” Montpellier, France.
