AWARD seeks to recruit a Communications Assistant to support its communications team in facilitating external and internal communication. The communications assistant will be heavily engaged in day-to-day communications activities including writing, designing of information products, managing social media platforms. The incumbent will assist the communications manager in implementing the AWARD communication and knowledge management strategy


  • Assist the AWARD Communications team with research and documenting stories on AWARD’s four initiatives and activities.
  • Provide audio-visual support during AWARD events or when called upon. Furthermore, work with contracted videography teams to produce videos and when necessary, animations, or photographic images.
  • Manage the media database and AWARD photo gallery.
  • Assist in the content management of the AWARD website.
  • Assist with AWARD social media engagement on the various platforms.
  • Assist in compiling and material for electronic newsletter.
  • Coordinating media relations with the Communications Manager.
  • Support the AWARD team in ensuring that the program’s brand and style guidelines are adhered to.
  • Support the AWARD team with communication during program events.
  • Oversee the ‘stock’ management of the programs branding material.
  • Working in collaboration with AWARD’s communications team, the individual will be responsible for making first level decisions on the production of communication content for the program.
  • Production of a high-level of documentation that portrays the AWARD brand in positive light and in line with the programs style and brand guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned
